Plagium is releasing its new API for beta testing.

We got a lot of demand for a Plagium API, it took longer than we expected, but the API is now releasing a beta version.

The API allows to:
- perform remote Plagium searches
- create/modify/delete Plagium alerts
- access Plagium alert results
- calculate search cost

For a limited period of time, the API will be activated for beta test users only.

Please contact Plagium at info@plagium.com to ask for your API activation.

Plagium Announces Deep Search

The Plagium Team is happy to announce the introduction of its Deep Search capability, which will enable Plagium users to compare large documents against the Web. Deep Search breaks up the entered document into segments according to grammatical and word use rule. A Web search is performed on these segments. As the search results return, the results are compiled to determine where in the retrieved document text may match the original. The displayed results show how the original text generally matches what is on the Web, as well as a paragraph-by-paragraph breakdown of the original text against retrieved Web documents.

Deep Search requires the establishment of a Plagium account, and the purchase of “credits” that entitle the user to specific volumes of text to be searched. The pricing is as follows:
1 US $ for 100,000 characters
2 US $ for 200,000 characters
10 US $ for 1,100,000 characters

Payments are accepted through PayPal. Credits are good for one year.

For our occasional users that use less text volume, the Plagium remains available as a free service through use of the “Quick Search” button.

Thanks to the support of its users, we are pleased to announce the following improvements to Plagium:

Document Preview: Simply click the link in a list of matching documents and the document will instantly open in an embedded window for your review. You can now preview the document contents without leaving the Plagium site.

Improved search results: Our results now produce more comprehensive and relevant results to better cover usage inspection of your text.

Real Time Updates: As Plagium discovers matching documents, the list of these documents is updated. This feature is especially convenient when tracking usage for text that has been reused often.

Entry deletion and printable reports: Links that are not of any interest can be deleted from the list.

Connection buttons to community web sites to help spread the word about Plagium.

Track Text Through Plagium Alerts

Would like to track the usage of a chunk of text or the contents of a URL over time? Are you concerned that in the future somebody might steal your own text from a blog or Web site? Plagium's Alert feature keeps you appraised of who might be using your text once it is made public. Simply enter your text or URL into Plagium. Plagium does the work from there. Each week you will receive a notification of the status of the text or content usage. Soon we will provide options to adjust the frequency of updates, but give it a try for now.

We are happy to announce that after implementing some substantial technical improvements and popular demand, Plagium is working again and available for free usage while we continue to test and build the service.

Plagium is an innovative, fast, and easy-to-use means to check text against possible plagiarism or possible sources of origination.
